Sometimes a restaurant visit isn’t about sitting down for a long meal. Sometimes it’s about finding a reliable takeaway, ordering something delicious and enjoying it while you travel — and that’s exactly our experience at Kebab Company. We loved the food so much that we gave it a full ⭐ 5 out of 5, and whenever we’re catching a train, we always try to stop there. We ordered a 🥙 kald durum with salad and a 🥙 durum with pita sauce — and the food was excellent, the staff were lovely, and the whole visit was easy and enjoyable.

Kebab Company is a takeaway that’s especially handy when we’re travelling by train — the kind of place where you can quickly pick up a meal without giving up flavour or quality. It was 🚆 convenient for the journey, 🥙 excellent for a quick meal, 😊 welcoming and 👋 served by lovely staff. A takeaway doesn’t need to be complicated to be memorable: sometimes friendly service, fresh ingredients and food you genuinely love are all you need.
🥙 What did we order?
We chose two durum wraps so we could compare them.
Kald durum with salad — the kald durum was filled with salad, which added freshness and crunch. A durum usually brings together 🥙 a soft flatbread, 🥗 fresh salad, 🥩 meat or another filling and 🥫 sauce. The salad balanced the richer flavours and made the wrap feel fresh as well as satisfying.
Durum with pita sauce — the sauce added extra flavour and moisture. A good sauce can pull all the ingredients together with 🥄 creaminess, 🧄 savoury flavour, 🌿 herbs or spices and 💧 moisture. The warm wrap, filling, salad and sauce together made it a really enjoyable meal.

When we try a takeaway, we can think about far more than whether it’s quick. We can ask: 👀 how did it look? 👃 how did it smell? 👅 what flavours could we notice? 🥙 was the wrap easy to eat? 🥗 did the salad taste fresh? 🥄 did the sauce bring everything together? 😊 how did the whole visit feel?
Kebab Company scored beautifully: soft wrap, fresh salad, savoury filling and a tasty sauce, all working together. The food was filling without losing its freshness — and that balance is a big part of why we enjoyed it so much.
😊 The staff and takeaway experience
The staff were lovely, which made the visit even better. Friendly service can turn a quick takeaway into something personal and welcoming, making you feel 👋 welcome, 😌 comfortable, 🙋 looked after and 🚆 happy to return. Even when you’re rushing for a train, a kind greeting makes a real difference — the food was excellent, but the lovely staff were an important part of the experience too.

Why does salad make a durum taste fresher?
Salad adds far more than colour to a wrap. Fresh vegetables bring 🥗 crunch, 💧 moisture, 🌿 fresh flavours and 🌈 different colours. Our visit took place in 🇧🇪 Belgium — but kebab-style food is enjoyed in many countries, each with its own mix of fillings, sauces and salads. A durum is a lovely example of food that travels across borders, bringing together 🥙 flatbread traditions, 🥗 fresh vegetables, 🥩 grilled or seasoned fillings and 🥄 sauces inspired by different cuisines. Food changes as it moves from place to place — so a quick takeaway stop in Belgium is part of a much bigger international food story.

Why do sauces make takeaway food so enjoyable?
Sauces can add several important qualities to a meal: 🥄 creaminess, 🧂 saltiness, 🧄 savoury flavour, 🌶️ spice and 💧 moisture. The pita sauce made our durum more flavourful — and it connected the ingredients, so the wrap tasted like one complete dish rather than separate parts.
